The Art Department and Production Design were responsible for designing the visual look of the series and helped to bring the epic world of Game of Thrones to life on screen.
Every set, prop, sigil and scene in Game of Thrones was first drawn by the team of art directors, graphic and concept artists, who used photographs and hours of research to inspire their gallery of illustrations.
Modelmakers also built 3D models of sets before they were built for real. The model for Winterfell Castle was especially useful as the set evolved and expanded through the seasons.
